Ulos has very important cultural meaning and value for the Toba Batak people. Ulos are used in various traditional ceremonies, celebrations and important events in the life of the Toba Batak people.
Ulos Hela is one of the most famous types of ulos and has deep meaning for the Toba Batak people. Ulos Hela is made from natural fibers produced from pandan trees, which are then processed into thread and woven into cloth. The process of making Ulos is very complicated and takes a long time.

Hi I'm Leanne, I have been living onboard my boat and sailing to ports around the world for 12 years. Prior to sailing from Australia I started attending yoga classes and instantly fell in love with the peace and relaxation it brought into my life and new I would continue to practice on board our boat during our travels. In 2013 I deepened my practice and became a Yoga Teacher and began introducing Yoga into my sailing community in the Pacific Islands from Fiji to Australia.
I have also been into healthy eating, studying Ayurveda and understanding how the Gut affects you. Mentoring others to live a happy Yoga Health and Sail Wellness life.
